About feetkeepers

You spend most of your day standing, walking or wearing shoes, and almost nobody has explained how the thing holding you up actually works. That’s why feetkeepers exists: to cover feet and everything around them with the rigor of good reporting and none of the drugstore-pamphlet tone.

What you’ll find

Nine sections that run from everyday care to biomechanics, from the shoe factory floor to the history of fashion’s worst ideas and what feet mean in our culture. They all start from the same idea: you should walk away knowing something you didn’t.

What you won’t find

Reviews, “best of” rankings or medical advice. We explain how the foot is built and how it works. For anything health-related, the right person is your podiatrist or doctor. The details are in our editorial standards.

How we’re funded

Through advertising and, in some stories, clearly disclosed affiliate links. Neither advertisers nor retailers decide what we publish. More in our affiliate disclosure.

The shield

Our logo is a foot inside a shield: a foot in safekeeping. That’s what we try to do with every story.
